A tremendous
priority has been given
to issues concerning vocational
training. Therefore the
club dedicated its activities
to the documentalists, library
and information specialists.
This fact was reflected
from a void that spread
in the Arab countries in
this field. In other words,
most of the Arabic foundations
and centers usually chose
the easiest and most attracting
form that drew the attention
of media, which always had
been symposiums. Although
we believe in the importance
of symposiums in spreading
the awareness of information
and establishing a good
cultural ground for interested
specialists. We also believe
that what is more important
is to elevate the skills
of Arab documentalists,
archivists, men of libraries,
information and the
technology of information.
Aims:
The Arab Institute for Information
works on achieving and executing
the following aims: 1- Elevating
the level of the specialists
who work to upgrade Arab
importance in the field
of information, documents,
archives, information technology,
communication and libraries
through an annually planned
training courses, and also
try to benefit from well
qualified Arab Institute
members, in order to improve
the Arabic experiences.
2- Establishing mutual cooperation and assistance between trainers and experts throughout courses that bring them together.
3- Assisting in improving all necessary methods, conditions, tools and measures to facilitate the exchange of information among club members, through the creation of a specialized working staff in this field.
4- Concentrating on the basics of a mutual Arabic work and strengthen the sense of Arabic brotherhood via mutual projects between foundations that work in the field of training under the management of the institute.
5- Following the latest developments of the technology of information, communication and multiplex means systems in the field of training, in addition to remote training via the club's site in the internet, in order to continue the process of improving trainers level as soon as he completes one of the courses supervised by the institute.
