It
is well known that the Arab
Islamic Dialogue have creatively
participated in enriching
and even guiding Human Civilization
during a certain era in
history.
This contribution was not
restricted to a specified
human dimension or field.
Rather, the multi-dimensional
aspects of the civilization
prevailed to cover both
the spiritual and material
side, including all fields
of arts, letters and sciences.
Evidence of the above said
can be found in the rare
Arab scientific and artistic
manuscripts safeguarded
at International Libraries.
Thus, the modern civilized
World still owes a lot to
Arab numerous achievements.
We find today that many
of the scientifically used
concepts and terms can be
traced back to Arab Scientists.
And each new historic finding
in the area, provides yet
another evidence of the
role of Arab expertise and
their role in building a
developed Word.
It is worth mentioning that
the Arab did not merely
convey their sciences and
expertise to the World.
They also provided the World
with the knowledge and sciences
of civilizations that preceded
them. This was done with
earnestness and sincerity.
Arab Scientists did not
try to destroy what others
have achieved. In fact,
they defended the inherited
sciences and achievements,
and even applied efforts
to interpret and translate
the found documents, and
relating to the real author
with honesty. An act rarely
found among other civilizations.
Consequently, this is considered
the first pioneering step
towards the Dialogue of
Civilization. And thus,
the Arabs were the first
People to truly and firmly
believe in the need to implement
the Dialogue of Civilization
to build a Humanitarian
World shared by all people,
and based on the values
of tolerance, just and truthfulness.
These are the principles
that we follow today, despite
all the deceitfulness and
corruption that prevails
around us. For we share,
with the rest of the world,
the responsibility of building
our Globe. Our values help
us to achieve this aim for
the two following reasons;
first we are proud to have
inherited original traditions
based on constructive dialogue,
as previously mentioned.
Secondly, we believe, just
as our ancestors believed,
that an analogous dialogue
is the only mean that can
structure a world based
on common aims and perspectives
shared by all people.
Arabcin, due to its flexibility,
thorough look and wide horizon,
forms a real tool that activates
such a dialogue and expands
it to reach the wanted aims.
